Sometimes The Muscles In My Leg Randomly Tense Up Causing

Sometimes the muscles in my leg randomly tense up causing excruciating pain for a few seconds to a minute. It happens mainly when I'm sleeping or sitting, but sometimes even when I'm just walking around. Why? I do testosterone injections and it seems to be happening more often (although I did experience this before I started injecting) are the injections causing it?
