Son Sweats A Lot So Drinks Water Then Uses Bathroom Frequently. Normal?

my son has always sweated more than other kids since he was a baby, i thought that maybe he inherited it from his dad because he as well sweats a lot, but lately ive noticed that my son drinks a lot of liquids either water or juice what ever really as long as he drinks something. He also goes to the restroom a lot, sometimes i even have to tel him to go to the restroom because he will be dancing around holding it in. I am very concerned is could there be something wrong with his health...please help me...

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

I shall appreciate if you can get the following test done:
1. Urine routine including specific gravity
2. Blood sugar fasting and post-prandial

Excess urine formation can occur in both diabetes insipidus and diabetes mellitus which the above investigations will reveal.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your son all the best.

Regards,
