Sonography Showed Ovaries Showing Follicles With Prominent Stroma Without Lymphadenopathy. Is This PCOs?
Hi ,I recently did my Sonography in which both my ovaries right and left showed 2-3 mm sized follicles with prominent stroma .However it suggested there is no free fluid or significant lymphadenopathy .Is this Polycystic ovary syndrome or normal cyst ?
Hi,Dear.Your reportshows that there are small sized cysts in both the ovaries. If you have irregular cycles with delayed periods, excessive facial or body hairs, weight gain or pimples it is pointing towards the possibility of POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN DISEASE. This condition is always present with above mentioned symptoms .If there are such symptoms present we need to go for furthur management. But if you have regular periods with no such problems then it is not worrisome.Follicles/cysts keep appearing in ovaries and the disappear simultaneously without any treatment. Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
