Sore Nipples, Nauseous, Excess Saliva, Cramping, Spotting. Pregnancy Test Negative. Reason For Above Symptoms?

I have had sore nipples for over a week now. I was nauseous last week with an excess of saliva. Now I am cramping and spotting. ( My period was due the 1st ) I took only one dose of the Depo shot in April and the second shot was due July 15th we chose not to continue the shot. My throat has been sore on and off and I think my sinuses are going nuts and draining at night? I took a home pregnancy test last Monday and it was negative. Not sure what is going on. Thank you so much for your time.

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
The chances of pregnancy have always been there with unprotected sex because you are not using your depot shot so chances of pregnancy are there.
You should consult a gynaecologist for urine, blood test and ultrasonography to rule out pregnancy.
The above symptoms may be because of hormonal changes also.
Good luck.

OBGYN Dr. Rubee Khattar's  Response
Hello Dear,
Thanks for choosing us
The symptoms which you are having are experienced both in pregnancy as well as any progesteron containing medicine eg Inj Depo.
As you told that you took your last shot in April, the effect of injection would have lasted till July.
Return of fertility after inj takes some time usually 2-3 mnths.
The bleeding which you are having must be the withdrawal bleeding
As such no need to worry but if you continue experiencing symptoms, get the test repeated after a week or a scan
Also, if you are not planning to conceive, kindly use an alternative method of birth control.
