Hello, I get a sore throat every evening around 6pm and it gets worse as time passes, and in the morning it disappears. This has been going on for a couple weeks almost. I originally had a low fever , but that went away after the first day. Sometimes my cough/throat got so bad, I could barely speak. I recently flew home from a month in, but the sore throat has persisted only in the evenings.
The presence of a intermittent sore throat like you are describing sounds like it may be related to sinusitis.
This can cause an intermittent sore throat that would be worse late evenings because of the change in temperature.
You can consider the use of a topical nasal spray, an antihistamine may need to be added if you still experience symptoms.
In some persons , severe gastroesophageal reflux can also result in a sore throat.
I hope this helps
