ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Thanks for consulting to H.C.M.

I read your query regarding your sore throat, persistent pain in throat and ear while swallowing, your sinuses are still draining.

Your sinus infection is a chronic infection and thus there is a post nasal drip is going on and in this way throat is getting infection and you feel it as sore throat. In the throat there is an opening of eustachian tube which gets blocked due to pharyngeal infection and therefore ear also gets inflammed and became painful. This pain is felt during swallowing because at the act of swallowing eustachian tube opens and this oedematous tubal opening now became a painful act.

To manage it you should consult ENT doctor for examination and relevent investigations, by interaction and co-relation of these one may reach to a final diagnosis and treatment.

Regards.
