Sore Throat With Jaw Pain. It Hurts To Eat Or Drink

Hi, I am a relatively healthy 36 year old female and I woke up several days ago with a mild sore throat only on the right side. Now my throat is so sore it hurts to swallow or even touch. About 2 days ago the right side of my jaw started hurting and my face looks a little swollen. It hurts to eat or drink and nothing is taking the pain away. Is this something that will go away on its own? Thanks
