I recently got a sore throat and at the same time I got this wound or shallow hole that won t go away. It s been days now maybe a week. It s extremely painful and today I noticed it had a white substance in it but when I checked again it was gone. The wound is located on the upper left corner of my mouth just behind the molar. I ve had my wisdom teeth pulled out about a year ago. My molar is hitting it which is one reason it s not healing . I can t open my mouth wide to eat. What could it be?
HELLO, From the details provided, its clear that the extraction socket has not healed well and results in formation of dry socket. I would advice you to gargle frequently with warm saline. Maintain oral hygiene well. Rinse mouth after every meals to avoid food lodgement. Take complete course of medicine prescribed. TAKE CARE.
