Soreness In Inner Ears, Pain On Swallowing, Sore Throat, Clear Mucus. Tonsillectomy Done. Treatment?

My inner ears are sore at the moment. They pain me when I swallow . My troat seems to be getting sore as well. I seem to have a lot of clear mucus when I clear my troat. I have had my tonsils out in 2006 but I seem to get these symptoms quite a bit, say 2 to 3 times a year. Is there something I can take over the counter or do I have to get a prescription for an antibiotic again.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello. it is likely that you have developed an infection of the pharynx ( food pipe) , it is common after tonsil removal. i would recommend you do salt water gargling 3-4 times a day and meet your ENT doctor, who will examine you and give appropriate medicines. thanks
