Soreness In Lower Lips, Tenderness, Red Dots. Any Idea?
Last week I felt the right side of my upper and lower lips sore and with what felt like a rash . The next day the same area felt very tender (like if I d burn myself) and the rash had turned into tiny red dots (but I couldn t feel them), later that day I started experiencing the same sensation/feeling under the right side of my tongue more by the inside area of gum under my molers. Sure enough the following day same results, very tender (like if I d burned myself and tiny red dots). I wondered if maybe I had some allergic reaction to something but I can t think of eating anything out of the ordinary for myself other than a popsicle. Now I m experiencing some numbness on the areas that had previosly been affected (the inside of my upper and lower lips). Any ideas what this can be???? Thank you!
Hi Debbie,
Thanks for writing your query.
According to the symptoms you have described it seems that you are having Herpes.
There is severe pain/burning sensation in one side only. It is a viral disease.
It will be better if you get yourself examined by a medical proffessional and start the treatment.
Treatment consists of antiviral drugs like Acyclovir. Starting the medicine early will shorten the duration of the disease. It usually takes three to four weeks for recovery.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
