Soreness In Second Finger. Painful Lump In Armpit. No Control In Passing Urine. Related?

Hi, about one week ago, I developed sworeness in my second finger, and about two days later my armpit developed a painful lamp, I should think in the muscle. It is more than one week later and am worried the lamp is stil there thoug I cleaned it severally with disinfectant... Now, I found it strange that whenever I feel the urge to go for a short call, I pass urine before I get there... I seem to have no control.. Is there any relationship?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,
from your description, the finger should certainly be infected, Its the infection that has caused a normal immunological reaction with the lymph nodes to actually react in response to the infection. It would be proper to see your doctor for a proper examination and antibiotics prescribed. It s also important to consider if you took the Anti tetanus serum, if not it would be worth while to take.
The relationship to the bladder symptoms could be a possibility, but not very probable in this case for we would have expected other symptoms like fever and generally being not very fine.
Its important for you to do a urine analysis and culture with sensitivity tests. common causes of these bladder instability like urinary tract infections and diabetes must be excluded first. I suggest you consult your family physician.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
