Soreness In Throat, Hurts On Deep Breathing, Pain Radiates To Esophagus. Cause And Cure?
I have a soreness down the left side of my throat that I can pretty much touch with my fingers if i stick them all the way down there. it it also hurts when i take a deep breath. The feeling comes from around my collar bone but feels like its deep inside my throat. When I take a deep breath the soreness kind if feels like its traveling down my esophagus .
I have understood your fear about the soreness in throat.
In all probability the soreness and the pain is due to the stomach due to a silent reflux problem though you may not have any symptoms.
In these cases I would usually advice my patients to take tablet Pantoprazole 40 mg twice daily before food for two weeks along with an antacid syrup thrice daily after food for two weeks. Your doctor will know about these. Also avoid oily, spicy and high flavored food and do not strain when you speak.
Try the above for at least two weeks and see if the symptoms recur or reduce. If they persist or increase then get an upper GI endoscopy and get back to me with the report.
Take care and do not worry
