Soreness In Throat, Talking, Swallowing, Eating Is Painful. What Is Wrong?
Hello on sunday afternoon I was eatting a slice of cheese and I didn't chew it all the way and I swallowed it almost whole. It felt like ir was stuck in there the rest of the day even after drinking some water. Its now four days later and my throat is so sore it hurts to move, talk, eat, swallow pretty much anything. What do you think is wrong?
Hello dear..
All these symptoms indicate that you might be having Pharyngitis.
Management includes:
1. Gargle with warm salt water to relieve throat pain.
2. Analgesics like paracetamol
3. Antihistamine preparations can also be used to provide symptomatic relief.
Intake of pain killers can only help you to get relief from the pain.
But unless the causative agent is removed, the symptoms cannot be eradicated completely.
So, it will be better to consult an ENT specialist & start treatment accordingly.
Meanwhile...avoid taking cold food & drinks, maintain adequate hydration & take soft, non-spicy foods.
Wish you good health & a speedy recovery.
Thanks & take care.
