Sperm Analysis Done. Result Shows Infection. Treatment?

Hi Doctor,
I went to my doctor and undergone sperm analysis twice in 4 weeks. But the result were still the same ( sperm count & motility cannot be facilitated due to prolonged liquefaction time, COLOR: creamy white, VOLUME: 2ML, PH: 8.0, VISCOSITY:Viscous, MORPHOLOGY - normal forms:90%, abnormal forms:10% 7% pin head 2% Giant head 1% Double tailed). And my doctor said, there have been an infection in the past that caused this. But as I read some of the answers here that there is cure for this. Just want to ask hows that possible to cure this and whats the process then? is it just by taking some medicines or anything else?

Thank you so much..

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

Thanks for your query.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

Your semen analysis report shows Prolonged liquefaction time.
If an abnormally long liquefaction time is present, which may indicate an infection.
Normal Liquefaction time is 20 to 30 minutes. Normal semen is in gel form but when kept for half an hour in a container it becomes liquid.

Nothing to worry about this as all others parameters are normal.

So, right now, you have to be concerned regarding the infection in urogenital tract. In this condition a broad spectrum antibiotic like ciprofloxacin should be taken.
Complete the antibiotic course and then repeat the semen analysis again.

For the prescription you should consult with your treating doctor.

Hope this helps.
Please reply for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
