Split Of Vein In Penis During Sex, Heavy Bleeding. No STD. Chances Of Infection?

Hi, during sex last night, my partner split the vein in his penis, we were not aware of this straight away, only when changing position, did we realise there was blood coming from one of us. We realised it was from him. However I am concerned, as there was ALOT of blood coming out of me and in me. I tried to clean it out as best as i could, but even this morning, there still seems to be more blood in me. Could this be harmful to me? What should I do? He does not have any sexual diseases.

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

Coming into contact with your partner's blood during sexual intercourse can put you at risk of contracting sexually-transmitted / blood-borne infections including HIV, Hepatitis B, etc. The other matter of concern is that you say that even the next morning you are seeing more blood inside your vagina despite cleaning it. This could mean that you could have also sustained an injury, which may be oozing bood.

In this case, I would suggest that you get yourself examined by a doctor to rule out any vaginal tear / injury. It would also be worthwhile to consider the risk of any sexually-transmitted /blood-borne infections, and if necessary, get yourself tested appropriately.

Wish you all the best.
