Spots. Taking Dianette. High Cholesterol Taking Statin 20mg. Alternative Medicine For Dianette?
Hello, My dr recently taken me of dianette which i was on because of bad spots, her reason was she believed me to be at an increased risk of thrombosis. My spots have returned and its not pretty. I am 42 years old with a strong family histor of heart attacks I am currently on 20mg of statin for high chloesterol and I have a heart arythmia. I really believe in dianette for my face but im afraid of increased risk of thrombosis and equally I ant have my face looking like it does now all the time either. Is there any alternatives to dianette? or other options for me?
Hello, You have a srong family history of heart attacks, have had an arythmia and is even on antithrombotics.that means you are a high risk patient. dianette which is a combination of an antiandrogen and an oral contraceptive, has a well documented risk of the patient developing clots in the veins.this risk might be worth taking in a normal person with no risk factors. There are many other medications you could take, with lesser risk, for your spots.i suggest you see your local physician for a change in regimen.
