Spotting Of Bright Red Followed By Brownish Discharge After Tested Positive For Pregnancy. On Duphaston And Folic. Success Rate Of Pregnancy?

Tested positive to pregnancy 2 weeks ago, on US couldn't detect the baby just a mass, given bed rest as I was spotting. On medication of duphaston and folic for 1 week. Spotting started again for the last 2 days intermittently, 1st day bright red for a little while the following day it was brownish discharge not much but it's there, am due to see the doc in 3 days time, question when does spotting stop, should I do a 2nd preg test? What's the success rate of pregnancy full term for those who spot in their first trimester

Firstly,let me tell you that it is very unlikely that there may be any complication associated with your pregnancy.Early USG can detect only endometrial thickening.It takes about 4 weeks for detection of the gestational sac. Fetal pole may be visualized one week later and fetal cardiac activity after another week.
Spotting is common in almost 30 percent of the pregnant women in the first trimester of pregnancy and is usually not a cause of concern It is speculated that this is due to some bleeding that occurs due to erosion of endometrium at the time of implantation. In-spite of all these It is advisable for you to consult your doctor to rule out other causes like cervical polyp or an ectopic pregnancy.Wish that you have a safe and happy confinement and delivery.
