Can Duphaston And Algest Be Taken During Pregnancy?
Hi, I had a miscarriage in my third month of pregnancy. I am in 5week of second pregnancy. The tablets prescribed are duphaston, all9 omez-d and Algest Sr 300.. I found that omez n duphaston are not safe in pregnancy. And also no prescription for folic acid. Could you please ease my worry by letting me know if this medicine are safe n where to continue or start having folic acid tablets. Thanks
Hello dear I understand your concern You have history of miscarriage and currently you are 5 week pregnant. Do not worry all the medicine given by the doctor are safe in the pregnancy. Duphaston and algest contain progesterone. It make the uterine environment favorable for the pregnancy and promote the growth of the baby. It does not cause any side effect.
All 9 contain vitamin B12, B6 and folic acid. So folic acid supplement already is there in the all 9 tablet. It provide the nutrition and help in growth of the baby Omez d help to prevent the vomiting and nausea like filling.
Take proper bed rest, avoid exertion and take medicine under the advise of the gynecologist with proper follow up by USG scan Hope this may help you
Best regards Dr. Sagar
