Spreading Hard, Painful Area In Calf Along Medial Aspect Of Lower Leg. Diagnosed Possible Bruise Without Discoloration. Ideas?
I've got a painful area on my calf that has been growing bigger. It lies along the medial aspect of my lower leg, not along the bone/shin area. It began as about a quarter in size about a week and a half ago, now it's about the size of my wallet or a deck of regular playing cards. I went to my Dr last week for it and she said that it was most likely a bruise (no discoloration). It is very hard and painful to the touch with some warmth.
Hi, it appears to be an ongoing abscess, may be due to the bite, prick, or an injury, or indipendent of any thing. I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an incision and drainage, for quick recovery. Thank you.
