Sputum Culture Results Were Heavy Growth Of Respiratory Flora , Positive For Influenza A And B. Any Suggestion?
I tested positive for influenza A and B about 5 weeks ago. Have had a horrible cough for 4 weeks. It became a productive cough around 3 weeks ago. My doc did a sputum culture with the results saying there was a heavy growth of respiratory flora. I took two Z packs, but still feel horrible. any suggestions?
IF YOU CONTINUE TO HAVE FEVER WITJH YELLOWISH SPUTUM, IT`S ADVISABLE THAT YOU GO IN FOR CHEST X RAY AND TAKE ANOTHER COURSE OF ANTIBIOTICS. OTHERWISE JUST TAKE SOME SYMPTOMATIC TREATMENT LIKE COUGH SYRUP, COUGH LOZENGES AND DO SOME STEAM INHALATION AND SALINE GARGLES.
