Started Primidone. Feely Sleepy And Shaking. Taking Clonzapam. Does The New Medicine Take Time To Work?

I started primidone, 1/2 (50)mg...1st night did ok. 2nd night last night, did horrible, woke about 2 hrs of sleep and did not know where I was for a while, room looked familiar but could not place myself. after don't know how long, I knew my surroundings (but felt drunk)and went back to sleep. AM was ok after coffee and 2 hrs later needed nap. Napped for 3 hrs and feel shakey. I was taking clonzapam 1/2 ( 1 mg) for about 8 mos. for anxiety and shaking, last night was first time I didn't take it. Will this feeling go away in time? Does this new medicine take a while to work into my system? My Dr. prescribed 1/2 tablet for a wk. then 1 whole, for wk. and work my way up to 2 tabs. I take this med. for tremors not seisure.

Hello.Primidona, the new medicine, take a while to work into your system.
Also, Clonazepam, the drug you took for anxiety and agitation can not be stopped abruptly.While primadona dose is low, it is recommended to combine primadona with clonazepam (0.25-0.50 mg at night).When primadona dose is highest, primadona replaces to clonezapam.Go to your doctor to evaluate combine clonazepam with primadona.I wish you good health.
