Started Taking Sprintec. Noticed Spotting. Had Periods. Skipped Pills. Having Discharge. Should I Take Placebo Pills?

Started taking Sprintec two months ago sunday July 14. Didn't start the first sunday of my cycle just a random sunday so my period would be at the beginning of the month. Ended up skipped the first month of placebo pills for vacation; no side effects. Started the next month worth of pill August 4, everything was fine, until two weeks I started spotting, didn't think anything of it, just thought it was due to skipping my cycle week. Then had sex a few times and started my cycle, considered it was a combination of both skipping and having sex. The cycle still hasn't completely stopped I'm still having discharge, August 24. With that being said, I lost two of the active pills; one last saturday August 17 and one this saturday August 24, strange coincidence I know, but it happened. I'm going on vacation again this next weekend and don't want to risk pregnancy, should i take the placebo pills starting on the second day tomorrow or should I skip them entirely? What is the most effective thing to do in this crazy situation?

Hello
Thanks for your query.
Frankly, you have gone all awry with the birth control.
If at all you wish to take it long term, and want it to work optimum, you should try being more regular with it, otherwise you would be saddled with such meaningless spotting off and on.
I would advice you to finish the current pack, that is the placebo pills and all.
Just to be doubly sure, use a backup method like condoms.
From the next pack onwards, be regular with it.
Take care.
