Starts To Shake In Sleep, Jaws And Fists Are Clenched Tightly, Heart Beat Fast. What Is Going On ?

My boyfriend is asleep.. And he starts to shake, and his jaw and fists are clenched tightly, and his heart is beating very fast.
He isn't breathing through his mouth, just his noes.. And his breaths are very short.
He is normally very easy to wake up, but when this happens, it's pretty much impossible to wake him.. What could be going on ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
It is possible that he is having a partial seizure/Myoclonic twitching while sleeping, the tremors may be associated with some illnesses of the CNS like Parkinson's disease, huntington's Chorea and other illnesses. It would be prudent to doa full neurrological check up includinga EEG,a sleep apnoea test would also be desirable.
