Stiffness In Hip, Pain In Knee. Suggest Something

I have a stiifness in my hip and pain in my knee. When I bend my knee and try to move it outward or if I sit indian style I feel a pulling in my groin and my knee is affected. I also feel a stiffness in my upper thigh where it attaches to my hip bone. I tried a hip flexor stretch this morning where one knee is kept on the ground and the other leg with the sore hip is stretched such that I try and bring the sore hip up to my chest. I heard a double crack or pop which I believe came from my YYYY@YYYY
