Stomach Ache, Grey Stools, Urinalysis Normal, Cause Of Pain ?
My 3 year old son has had intermittent stomach pain since Sunday night and today has pooed a greyish stool. I took him to the pediatrician yesterday and it appears nothing should up in the urinalysis and there is no hemoglobin in his stool. When he tells me he is in pain, it appears to hurt very bad and he starts to cry. It is only for a minute or so. Any ideas on how to help him?
hi
welcome to HCM
stomach pain in this age is most common due to either gastroenteritis or jaundice. but with gastroenteritis he may have diarrhea or vomiting and along with jaundice there may yellowish discoloration of the skin. so you can help him by giving soft diet and giving some antispasmodic syrup and metronidazole syrup at dose of 10-20mg/kg/dose for 3 times a days.
thanks
with regards
