Hello Dr. Grief, I have been getting stomach cramps when I exercise. If I swim, skate or hike in an easy manner I have no problem, but when I push myself ,i.e., dig a little deeper I get these stomach cramps then my arms or legs cramp up also. I have almost passed out several times while skating. I am 56 years old in very good shape. I have been active and an accomplished athlete all my life. My primary physician has done blood work, and everything is perfect as is my blood pressure. Last week she mentioned that I may be having a Vasovagal syndrome reaction. I have been reading about this, but my question is why is my stomach cramping? Does the cramping trigger the reaction? I have pushed myself all of my life and have never felt this before. I am taking magnesium supplements and drink plenty of water. Any thoughts?
Sincerely, Bill
