Stuffy Nose, Red Dots On Nose, Swelling. Taking Advil, Not Helping. Allergy?

Hi my son has had a stuffy nose for 6 days now. He is also getting little red dots (similar to water blisters) on his nose, under his nose and on his cheeks. The inside of his one nostril is all red and inflammed. You can tell that it's swollen. I've tried Advil cold and sinus and vick's vapo rub and the Advil didn't help at all. the vick's works but only for minutes...Could this be allergies???

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi dear
Welcome to the HCM,
Child is developing some skin infection like streptoccocal/staph infection. leading to all these symptoms. Probably requirs some antibiotics (local and oral) with consultation with your peadiatrician.Analgesic and antipyretics along with antihistamine and decongestant will help in relieving the stuffy nose.
Vicks act as only counter irritant, helps symptomatically for some time only.
Hope the query is answered.
thanks
