Sudden Onset On Dark Purple Bruises On Inner Elbows, Faded With Time. Any Thoughts To The Cause?
I woke up with 2 small (about the size of a pea) bruises on the inner elbows of each arm . I do not recall doing anything that would have caused this (carrying something or pinching. They are both on almost the identical spot on each arm. They are dark purple in color, but seem to be getting lighter as the morning goes on. Any thoughts to a cause?
The dark purple bruises you have explained possiblly due to some Subtle bleeding under the skin with staining of skin. Our body has protective mechanism to stop bleeding following injury by coagulation. When there dysfunction in coagulation even trivial injury may slight pressure can cause bleeding. Sometimes its under the skin without frank breech in skin.
The most common cause for coagulation is platlet dysfunction which are used by blood for normal funtion. Please get your Platlet count Coagulation profile by laboratory
Second possible cause which explain your symptoms is
Allergic reaction to something you consumed you need check carefully.
