Suffer From GI Bleeding, Weight Loss. Smoker. Worried
I have a question regarding my father? 73 years old non-smoker
he has been in the hospital for about a week he has a history of GI bleeding and has lost about 60 pounds in 2 years no energy no appitte sleeps alot the last doctor to see him says we should put him in hospice because he is not going to get better should we worry that he is dying?
Hi, Firstly we should find out the reason for GI bleeding. At this age some malignancy in GI tract should be ruled out. So consult Gastro-enterologist and get investigated. After diagnosis plan of treatment and prognosis can be decided. Ok and take care.
