Can Naproxen Cause GI Bleeding?

I noticed blood on toilet paper after wiping today. I have never had this before. I have been taking Napozen for a fall and injury to my knee. I went on line and read that that drug can cause bleeding if taken for longer than a month. I have been on it for over 2 months

I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
For how long u are suffering from it? Any other associated problem? like diabetes or hypertension? do you have pain while defecation? any history of fever?
Naproxen normally doesnt cause bleeding. If it does , there would be soft black stools Naproxen doesnt cause fresh bleeding per rectum. You need to be assessed for anal fissure and haemorrhoids. Meet your surgeon for proper assessment .
Meanwhile stay calm and use lactulose to prevent constipation.
