Suffer From Anxiety, Gets Distracted Easily. ADHD Symptoms?
my son suffers from anxiety I get lots of what if questions several times a day ie. what if you die ? what if i am dreaming ? what if I turn into a zombie ? what if i die in my sleep?. He finds it difficult in school particularly in maths and irish. He finds it very difficult to stay focused and gets distracted easily. Is it possible that he has ADHD.
first of all you should calm yourself in order to come to the right conclusion and decision for your child. theres a prescribed criteria for ADHD and a detailed history and examination can come to the conclusion. what you can do from your side is allay the anxiety of your child by giving your example and example of thousands of people around who continue to live. do not brand him as if hes having some problem.this can have a reverse effect on his mind. you can definitely show to a pediatrician or a psychiatric/psycholgist for the same.
