Suffer From Fibromyalgia And Anxiety. Stopped Smoking. High Pulse Rate. Severe Weight Gain. Any Help?
I'm 34, have Fibro & anxiety. Over the past few months my pulse rate has went from in the 90's to 120-140 resting. Now I have high blood pressure (151/101). I stopped smoking a year ago, my dr is confused & decided to start by doing some blood work. I've also started gaining weight (40 pounds) within the last 6 months. Any clue what's going on?
Weight gain is a common problem after cessation of smoking... one knows the taste!/ often, eating is relief for depression or anxiety Regarding heart rate and blood Pressure, you SHOULD SEE YOUR DOCTOR; You need to be investigated...EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance. The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
