Suffer From Ibs. Diagnosed With Gerd And Esophagitis. Have Pinching Pain, Burning Sensation. Lost Weight. Infection?

Hello Sir,

i suffer from ibs as they say( now from 2 yrs) .. and diagnosed now with gerd and esophagitis ...(ran endoscopy , cololonoscopy and ct scan) ..rest tests are fine
from last 3 months pinching pain and burning sensation in bottom right part below ribs .. almost for whole of day now... lost 15 kgs over 2 yrs..
what is it ... i seriously doubt i have some sort of infection nothing else

Thanks for writing your query.

I hope the investigations you have mentioned are recent.

After reading your post, it seems that you are having gastric irritation due to increased acidity in the stomach.

You can take antacid like Omeprazole 20 mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 10 mg.
Antacid in gel or liquid form is also beneficial as it forms a protective layer over the damaged mucosa of the stomach.

Following precautions will be helpful in controlling the acidity :-
1. Avoid spicy and oily foods.
2. Avoid emotional/mental stress.
3. Do not miss a meal.
4. Avoid smoking/alcohol, if any.
5. Drink lots of pure water daily.
6. Do not self medicate, especially with pain killers and steroids.

You should get yourself clinically examined.
