Suffer From Pain In The Upper Arm And Neck. Have Hypertension. Had Unprotected Sex. Worried About HIV
I had un protected sex with a women (don’t Know Status) 2 years back and now i am suffering from upper arm, neck muscle pain with high blood pressure from last two months. I have tested my blood & urine test status is given below; 1. Complete Blood Count :- Normal 2. Sugar Test :-Normal 3. Uric acid:-Normal My wife have no any dieses or symptoms of Hiv and She tested HIV test by Tridot-Test (J-Mitra) and result came back Non- Reactive. My question is that, I should go for test for HIV and above symptoms is related to HIV?
All your symptoms are not specific to HIV. 1. Your sex partner is not necessarily a HIV positive women. 2. Nearly 30-40% of people remains HIV free in spite of their regular sex with their HIV positive spouse and called as Sero-Discordant. 3. Your wife remains HIV negative. So you are unlikely to be HIV positive. It is better to be confirmed by HIV test that you are HIV negative. DR S.Murugan
