Suffered An Accident, Diarrhea, Back Pain, Leg Numbness. Treatment For Symptoms?
I was in an accident on 11/10/12. Since that time I have suffered from diarrhea and back pain . I was taken to the er from the accident. I was not admitted. If I sit for a period of time my lower back hurts and I have to stand and walk then my upper back starts hurting. During all of this my legs also go to sleep. They found nothing wrong with me
Symptoms described by you needs immediate treatment. First you should go for X-ray of lumbar spine ,AP and Lateral view.It can detect bony injury. But your symptoms also indicates towards possibility of lumbar disc injury.so ,you should also go for MRI scan of lumbar spine. It can detect intervertebral disc status and nerve involvement. Treatment protocol depends upon the findings of X-rays and MRI. Treatment options can be conservative or surgical depending upon severity.
