Suffering From PCOS With Thick Endometrium And Follicles In Ovaries
Hi, I have PCOS and received results from an internal ultrasound today. Can you please tell me what this report means - my endometrial wall is 2mm thick. i have several small follicles in each ovary with a predominant peripheral distribution and the central stroma of each ovary is noted to be echogenic compatible with pcos history. Thankyou
Hi. this report confirms the diagnosis of polycystic ovarian disease. Due to imbalance of hormones your ovaries have halted production of eggs and there is increased production of estrogen and decreased production of progesterone which is resulting in thickening of the endometrium.
This is typical condition of PCO and there is nothing alarming about it.You need to see a gynaecologist who will further explain to you about this disease and will put you on metformin.
