Suffering From Breast Cancer. Lungs Xray Showed Pleural Thickening Noted In Apical Lung. Meaning?
Hey , my mother was suffering from breast cancer ! She is doing good. Few months back we went to bangkok for her check up ! Today we again had a x ray of her lungs.. In the result , there is written minimal pleural thickening noted in the left apical lung. what does this mean ? Is it a bad sign ? Can u please suggest me ?

Usually apical pleuroparenchymal thickening is a sequelae to old healed tuberculosis. but since your mother had breast cancer which the second most common cancer after lung to spread to pleura, better go for a CT scan with pleural contrast to rule out metastasis
