Suffering From Chest Pain And Upper Abdominal Pain. Normal Test Results. Should I Take More Tests. Recommendations?

I'm 23 years old, and I have been experiencing some chest and upper abdominal pain. I actually experienced these same pains a year and a half ago, and I had an ECG, chest x-ray, and several blood tests that all came back normal. The several doctors I went to chalked it up to anxiety and GERD. Now, that they are occurring again, I am concerned. Since that first episode, I have worked out regularly and tried to eat healthier. Should I get more tests done on my heart? I have been checking my blood pressure and pulse regularly since the pain started, and I do have a history of heart disease in my family, but it these occurred in an advanced age.

Hello,

You're an young adult and you ECG, blood pressure and other lab investigations are normal.

So it is unlikely to be related to cardiac disease.

You may undergo Echo cardiogram and consult a Cardiologist for second opinion.

It is recommended to undergo trans esophageal ultrasound and endoscopy of the upper GI tract to rule out other causes.
