Suffering From Cold, Cough And Fever. Using Crocin Later Mefenamic Acid. Azithromycin For Throat Infection. What Should I Do?

Greetings Doctor.
My son is 6 years old suffering from cold, little cough and fever from last 2 days. I have given him crosin for fever, which was changed later to mefenamic acid. Also for cold and Cough he is being given Sinarest (Paracetamol+Phenylephine Hydrochloride+Chlorpheniamine Maleate+Sodium Citrate Syrup).
He was aslo being given Azithromycin 200mg single dose each day as having throat infection.

Now cough is under control but cold with fever is still there. What should be done.

Thanks for your query

i can feel your concerns

i advise you to continue calpol and ibuprufen alternatively for fever

you can give these medicines 6 hourly

tapid water sponging is also helpful

give him green tea and honey

steam inhalation also improve cough

avoid cold and soft drinks

give him plenty of fluids

saline gargles are effective remedy

i advise you to complete course of antibiotic

wishing him a speedy recovery

Hi,
Your son is given complete medicine, antibiotic,decongestant syrup etc.
Now wait for 1-2 days more as its effect starts now and he will be completely alright.
Avoid cold drinks and junk food.
Ok and take care.
