Suffering From Cough And Chest Pain. X Ray Says Inhomogeneous Opacity In Right Paracardiac Region. Is It TB ?
hi, i just got my chest xray done which says i have inhomogeneous opacity in right paracardiac region with cavitation i am suffering from cough and chest pain in right side from last 2 months, im also consulting a doctor but i wanna know what it means. is it tuberculosis or just lung infection....i am of 19....
Any cough lasting for more than 2 months could be tb especially in developing countries like India. A paracardiac shadow with cavitation is commonly a finding in tb though there can be other causes even if rarer, I think in your case tb is high on cards. You should get a Montoux test and sputum for AFB done and start the treatment asap.
