Suffering From Endometriosis, Had Miscarriage, Given Danogen, No Periods Yet. When Will I Get Periods ?
Hi am a 31 year old woman suffering from endometriosis for last 5 years. I have had an open surgery when I was 27 pertaining to ovarian cyst. I had another surgery when I was 28 as I developed a cyst again on the other side of my ovary. later I went for ivf which left me devastated after a failed cycle. I had conceived spontaneously and naturally last year but i had an abortion in the 3rd month of my pregnancy. my doctor gave me danogen 200 for 25 days. i discontinued using the tablets 22 days ago but my period didn't return. when will i possibly get my periods? can i fall pregnant while using danogen? Thanks
Hello Thanks for your query. Danogen is Danazol. It is a very common side effect of Danazol to have amenorrhoea or absent periods. Also, conception while on Danazol is not very frequent, nor is it advisable, as it has side effects on the fetus. endometriosis is a disease known for recurrence, and danazol is one of the treatment modalities. take care.
