Suffering From Extreme Stomach & Abdominal Pain

Hi, I've been suffering with extreme stomach and abdominal pain for over a year now, I had a camera down my throat and was told I had gastritis which I started pantoprezole 40mg twice daily and ranitidine 300mg before bed. Over a year later I'm still getting these pains from my my stomach and all down my abdomen (upon waking my whole abdomen feels bruised like pain similar to being winded) along with constipation, nausea and general feeling of being unwell. Any help appreciated as this has lead to me now having anxiety :/ I've also had a ultrasound to rule out gallstones

Hi,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

What the treatment you are taking or you have taken that has to be taken for maximum six weeks and just a single molecule is enough. Omeprazole is good, no need to take Ranitidin, in case of gastritis. If this is due to acidic phenomenon, then it has to be cured with the medicine you have taken. If the symptoms are still there, then it might not be gastritis and could be something else. Most of the time it is the anxiety and depression and not the pure illness or pathology. Because any pathology can not be left untreated. If this is so, then the end result will be too bad. Try to come out of the stress and discuss for differential diagnosis with your doctor.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Take care.
