Suffering From Eye Muscle Twitching. Prescribed Deanxit. How Long Should I Take Medications. Suggest
I live in China and visited a neuroologist recently. My lower left eye muscle has been twitching over a month now. I've been prescribed three weeks worth of Deanxit as he feels that the twitching and tightness of my entire left face is due to stress. Indeed I am facing a lot of pressure and stress in both personal and professional life.
My concern is that Deanxit is not sold in many countries and the use of medication at this point of time. Thinking back, this is not the first time I experience the twitching and tightness in my face, head and neck. I've been told that the trial period works,I might need to continue with it for 6-18 months.
What do you think?

Your symptoms are related to stress and anxiety. Anxiety disorders can manifest not only with psychological symptoms but with a variety of physical symptoms also like: Tingling, numbness, palpitation, muscle twitching and tightness etc.
Deanxit contain flupentixol and melitracin. Now better medicines are available for treatment. For long term control of anxiety following measures are helpful: relaxation exercise, medicines like SSRIs and non drug treatment like CBT. It is better to get evaluated by psychiatrist and start treatment accordingly.
Also seek psychological help to manage stress in personal and professional life in form of stress management sessions.
Same time do some relaxation exercise like daily brisk walk, yoga and breathing exercise, which will help you in fast recovery.
