Hi, thanks for your query.

You seem to have androgenic alopecia. It has a hereditary predisposition. In this the hair follicle become sensitive to androgens leading a shorter cycle of hair growth and the growth of shorter and thinner strands of hair. Additionally, there is a delay in the growth of new hair to replace strands that are shed.

Minoxidil converts fine hair to coarse hair but these hair shed off as soon as it is discontinued.
YOu may do as follows:
-You may continue minoxidil
-In addition take anti androgens like finasteride or saw palmeto
-Take oral supplements of iron, selenium, copper, biotin, etc.

If these don't help you may consider hair transplant. It gives quick and promising results.

New therapy like stem cell therapy can be considered.

You may discuss these with your treating doctor.

Hope this solves your query.
