Suffering From Last Stage Throat Cancer. Any Home Remedies To Eat Normally And Make Pain Bearable?

My grandfather is suffering from last stage throat cancer. Due to his age chemo and radiation are not being performed on him. The cancerous lump has been removed along with his food pipe n voice box, but the cancer returned and he was prescribed medicines which have a very heavy dose. Currently the lump has gotten very big and past two days he has been throwing up a lot of blood. Are there any home remedies we can do to help him at least eat normally and make the pain bearable

I am sorry about your grandfather and this serious disease. Unfortunately it is very hard to make his life easier now. This is mechanic obstruction and if surgery cant be helfoul anymore then nothing can. YOu can just give him easier liquid food in small meals 5-6 times per days. If he become completely unable to eat then gastrostoma should be made as last option. EVerything else is just palliative care for his pain, mental condition and infection prevention. WIsh you good health.

It is very difficult to releive bleeding from very advanced throat cancer because bleeding is usually from blood vessels in tumor which are abnormal. There are some medications which may help in reducing bleeding and those can be tried.
I hope he is in morphine in adequate dose to releive his pain.
If his general condition permits;he will benifit from short-course palliative radiotherapy.It is given for only few days like 1-5days, is easier to tolerate and can releive pain and bleeding.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather's condition. I can imagine his pain and agony due to the cancer. Last stage of cancer can be quite challenging to treat. Unfortunately, there are very few home remedies which work at this stage.
It is better that you consult a palliative care doctor and ask for strong analgesics for his condition. He can be given tramadol and morphine to relieve the pain due to the cancer. Chemotherapy also helps in regressing the tumor and relieving the pain but has its own side effects.
