Suffering From Recurring Malaria. Tested Positive For Malaria. Causes?
What causes recurring malaria ..my mother got hospitalized three months back for malarial symptoms..got cured after a treatment..got discharged ..now after 3 months or so today she is again diagnosed malaria positive..now I know this is caused by misquote bites.. But just wanted to know if there are any other reasons apart from this...thanks in advance for response..
hi
recurring malaria may be caused by other causes apart from recurrent bite of mosquitoes.
plasmodium vivax may remain dormant in hepatocyte.
in case of falciparum inadequate treatment may lead to recurrence.
so may revive to cause recurrent malaria.
killing of these forms needed for eradication of malaria from body by drugs.
