Suffering From Swollen, Red Eyes With Tears. Has Grave Disease And Takes Medication. Suggestions
My mom is visiting from Europe, she has no health inssurance, since few days her left eye is swollen , red and tears are runing nonstop she also commplains from pain in the depth of the eye. A short history few months ago she was told she had to have surgery because she had a boil in the white of the eyeball. She has grave disease and takes medication for it.

It appears that your mother is suffering from conjunctivitis in the affected eye. She should clean the eye with warm water and also try to give hot fomentation to the eye. She needs to use anti-biotic eye drops 2-3 hourly and an anti-biotic ointment at night. For pain, she can take some analgesic tablets orally.
