Suffering From Throat Infection In Early Pregnancy. Is It Safe To Take Antibiotics In Pregnancy ?

Hello. I m six weeks pregnant and have developed a throat infection, symptoms are painful glands with swallowing, mild fever , yellow sputum, and my partner has begun having symptoms too. Is it likely to be dangerous to baby to just try to let the infection run its course, moreso than taking antibiotics in early pregnancy? Thank you so much for helping with my concerns.

You can have gargles with an antiseptic like betadine gargles.Steam inhalation by putting karvol capsules or vicks is going to help a lot.paracetamol is safe drug , you should go for the investigations like CBC and sputum examination , it is better to consult a physician along with gynaec.
