Minoxidil in lotion form can be used to improve hair growth. Minoxidil do not cause any side effect and is very safe drug to be used. But if used in higher concentration it can lead to contact sensitivity. You should meet your treating dermatologist and report this problem. For the time being period stop minoxidil for dew days.
You can take vitamins in the form of biotin, calicium pantothenate and other vitamin B complexes. Multivitamin tablets contains all these essential nutrients so you can take it. Additionally increase you protein intake on daily basis and eat sprouts. Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables and sprouts which contains vitamins and minerals necessary for normal hair function.
Take care.
