Your symptoms are most probably caused by hemorrhoids or anal fissure. For this conditions it is characteristic that red blood appears on the surface of the stool. The pain is always present with fissure and sometimes with hemorrhoids.
However blood source can be also different, that is why colonoscopy is necessary to rule all other reasons of such bleeding.
To treat fissure, you need to avoid constipations (drink more water, eat fiber rich food), ask your doctor about Nitroglycerin cream. Hot baths with Quercus Cortex can be helpful. Such fissure should get healed in a week or so.
Hemorrhoids can be treated with suppositories (available without prescription), hot baths and constipations preventing. In some cases surgery might be necessary.
Hope this will help.
Regards.
